The year is 1940, and Sweden is on high alert. In the countryside of Uppland, a German fighter plane has crashed straight into the mayor’s house. At the same time, an equally dramatic battle is unfolding at Mellangården, where Ingemund Andersson and his father-in-law, Nils Tratt, are at each other’s throats. And things hardly get any calmer when unexpected visitors show up and rumors of a surviving German pilot begin to spread. With colorful characters, snappy dialogue, and situations that quickly spiral out of control, *Småstadsliv* offers a wild mix of relatable moments, madness, and utterly absurd antics. And no, you don’t have to live north of Uppsala to find it funny! It’s childish, sometimes vulgar, and above all, hysterically funny.
