Tickets go on sale October 23 at 10:00 a.m. –“Fullt Özz!” – Özz Nûjen embarks on a new stand-up tour
After a year of record-breaking touring with his previous show, “Medborgare Nûjen” (134 performances in 102 Swedish towns!), Özz Nûjen knows how Sweden is doing. Sweden needs cheering up! That’s why he’s decided to put on a new stand-up show as early as this spring—but this time, it’ll be 100% fun, 0% politics. It’ll simply be “Fullt Özz!”
“After this election, we need to stop taking sides and just laugh together,” says Özz. “My new stand-up show will be a wild mix of high and low—I’m looking forward to, among other things, joking about what we men are like and how we behave toward each other and others, and taking a closer look at the ever-relevant question: Why are women smarter than men?” I also plan to vent about my worst gigs ever, and I’m wondering if it could be that there are people in Swedish TV newsrooms who want to see me dead,” says Özz. “Fullt Özz!” at Rival in Stockholm, April 13–14; get tickets here.
The fact that “Fullt Özz!” is premiering in Sundsvall may come as a surprise, since Özz, during an appearance on P3’s “Morgonpasset,” named Sundsvall Sweden’s worst city for stand-up comedy.
“After two sold-out performances of ‘Medborgare Nûjen’ at Sundsvall Theater, I have to admit that I’ve come to love Sundsvall. It used to be hard to get gigs there, but now that love is in full bloom! So much so that I’ve decided to kick off my tour there,” says Özz.
This time around, Özz’s tour has a slightly more manageable format than last time, with “only” 13 stops instead of 102.
– I have to be honest and say that I’m worn out from the last tour; it took an incredible toll on me to perform 134 shows in 102 cities in just one year, so this time I’ve decided that my beloved audience will have to come to me. I hope you’ll understand! There are 13 cities to choose from, from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south, so I’m sure it’ll work out just fine. As always, everyone is warmly welcome!” says Özz.
Özz has scheduled the finale, which will take place in April of next year, for Jönköping.
“The last time we planned a tour, we embarrassingly forgot about Jönköping. It caused quite a stir—and rightly so. But now I’ll never forget Jönköping again. Consider it part of my apology to the city that I’ve scheduled the finale of “Fullt Özz!” at Jönköping Theater,” says Özz.
