Andersson, Åkerström, Vreeswijk, and Me!
An evening of songs, stories, and people.
Brolle, one of Sweden’s most beloved artists, has carried a deep love for the Swedish folk song tradition throughout his career. His encounter with Jack Vreeswijk marked the beginning of a close musical collaboration. Together, they embarked on several tours where they performed and paid tribute to Cornelis Vreeswijk’s body of work—concerts that were met with great appreciation from the audience. When Jack passed away in 2023, their journey together came to an all-too-early end.
Now Brolle is returning to folk songs. This time, he’s broadening his perspective. In*Andersson, Åkerström, Vreeswijk, and Me!*, Brolle takes on songs by Dan Andersson, Fred Åkerström, and Cornelis Vreeswijk. Well-known classics are joined by hidden gems that Brolle himself has carefully selected. It promises to be a warm and personal performance where the songs are interwoven with his own stories.
On stage, Brolle is joined by guitarist Love Tholin, who played with Jack Vreeswijk for many years. It’s just the two of them on stage, which allows the music to really connect with the audience.
Welcome to an evening featuring one of Sweden’s most beloved voices and songs that have touched generations. Get tickets for the April 15 show at Rival here.
