Between us – there are many ways to look back on Magnus Betnér's career. On the one hand, he was a truth-teller, a voice of reason, and provocatively honest – according to many. On the other hand, he was crude, self-revealing, and, according to some, frankly provocative. Few have stirred up more emotions than Magnus Betnér has done during his many tours around Sweden.
If it was "Nothing is Sacred, " "Speech to the Nation, " and "Words of Life" that created the persona Magnus Betnér, then in 2026 it will be time to get to know Magnus. All in a fun, revealing stand-up show where an aging comedian (despite all evidence to the contrary) wants to show a new side of himself. Or perhaps more of a photo with more colors than the black-and-white image many people have. Tickets for October 7 can be found here.
>>Mellan oss<< är mer än en titel på en show – det är ett osynligt kontrakt som signerats mellan Magnus Betnér och hans publik sedan mer än 20 år tillbaka. Inte för att det som sägs nödvändigtvis är några hemligheter, men det är en utsträckt hand och ett äkthetsbevis på att det vi upplever här ikväll, det är bara för oss. För när Magnus för första gången på över ett decennium gör en stor turné – ensam på affischen – då kommer det bli speciellt.
It is the story of Magnus, a child with a diagnosis, and of Betnér, a father of two who is solving the puzzle of life, and all the things he holds dear in his fifties. And then a little about what he marvels at.
For the past ten years or so, Magnus Betnér has been touring as part of various constellations, and in between has been toiling around with the ever-present Work in Progress tour. Where some might have felt that why change a winning concept, Magnus wants to dig deeper to try to find the famous core.
There will be traces of adhd, there may be fragments of social analysis. The occasional celebrity may have to be dealt with. Fans will recognize themselves, fans will be surprised. Welcome to a stand-up show that is equal parts uncomfortable, inclusive and - between us - very funny. Read more about 'Between Us' here.
