Johan Boding & Jonas Gideon, two close friends who are now enjoying massive success with their joint show “Elton John meets Freddie Mercury”! After sold-out concert halls and endless applause from the audience, it’s now official that the duo and their fantastic band will embark on a major tour of Sweden in the fall of 2026.
The audience is in for a truly unique concert experience as they join some of Sweden’s top musicians in performing Elton John and Freddie Mercury’s impressive repertoire in a dazzling, visually stunning show. The audience is guaranteed an experience like no other.
Performing Elton & Freddie’s music is no small feat, and we can say without a doubt that Johan Boding and Jonas Gideon are among the very best in Sweden for this task. Elton John and Freddie Mercury met in the 1970s when their careers were at their peak, and a deep respect and friendship blossomed between the two. Unfortunately, they didn’t collaborate much on stage or musically. That is what Johan and Jonas now want to create: what might a musical collaboration between these two giants look like? Johan Boding - is definitely one of Sweden's most talented singers with a voice that touches you deeply. He has toured all over the world, mainly in arena shows that pay tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen, but also in successful productions such as "Thank you for the music", "Sol vind och vatten" and "Den Svenska Sångboken". Johan has also done several Rhapsody in rock and as a musical star we have seen him in Miss Saigon and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Jonas Gideon - is a Swedish musician, singer and pianist, whose passion for music was awakened already in childhood. At the age of eight, he started playing Elton John's songs on the piano, which laid the foundation for his musical career. A defining moment came in 1998 when he met Elton John by chance before a concert at Ullevi in Gothenburg. This meeting inspired him to learn almost 200 of Elton's songs and to see him live 14 times. After 20 years as a musician, in 2023 he launched 'A True Elton John Tribute', a tribute show that quickly became a success with sold-out performances and rave reviews. Over the course of his career, Jonas has collaborated with many of Sweden's top artists, including Carola, Molly Sandén, Jennifer Brown, Victor Norén and Janne Schaffer.
