By car, coming on the E4

From the north
1. drive south on the E4
2. as you approach Stockholm, follow the sign E20 S
3. when you’ve turned off onto the E20, follow the signs for Södermalm
4. when you come to the Central Bridge/Centralbron (passing the Old Town on the left), follow the signs for Hornstull
5. keep following the signs for Medborgarplatsen, you will be turning left onto the street Torkel Knutssonsgatan
6. drive up Torkel Knutssonsgatan until you come to the cross street Sankt Paulsgatan
7. turn left onto Sankt Paulsgatan
8. after about 300 meters you will see the square Mariatorget on your left hand side. Hotel Rival is located on the right hand side of the square

From the south
1. drive north on the E4
2. as you approach Stockholm, follow the sign E20 N
3. when you’ve turned off on to the E20, follow the signs for Södermalm
4. take the first right after crossing over the bridge Liljeholmensbron
5. follow the street Hornsgatan until you come to the cross street Timmermansgatan
6. turn right onto Timmermansgatan
7. turn left onto Sankt Paulsgatan
8. after about 300 meters you will see the square Mariatorget on your left hand side. Hotel Rival is located on the right hand side of the square

By subway to Mariatorget

Take the red line, in the direction of Fruängen, Norsborg or Liljeholmen. We are located near the Mariatorget subway station, three stations south of T-Centralen.

When you get off the subway at Mariatorget, follow the signs for the exit Mariatorget/Swedenborgsgatan. When you exit the station at street level, turn left onto the street Swedenborgsgatan. After one block you will come to the square Mariatorget and the hotel is located on the right hand side.

Buses that stop near the hotel

Bus 43 and 55 stop on Hornsgatan at Mariatorget
Slussen (10 minute walk from the hotel) is a large bus, subway and train terminal and there you will find the cross town buses 2 and 3, among others.
The cross town bus 4 stops at Rosenlundsgatan, about a 7 minute walk from the hotel.

To get to the Stockholm Fair (Älvsjö) from Hotel Rival

From the hotel:From the square (Mariatorget) you walk along Swedenborgsgatan, past the subway station, three blocks to the Stockholm Syd/Södra train station (10 minutes). Take the commuter train southbound in the direction of Södertälje. Älvsjö is the second station (about 10 minutes). After getting off the train, follow the signs for Älvsjömässan/Stockholm Fair (10 minutes).
